Lead Front-End Developer

Salary: £96,000 – £102,000 per year

Lead Front-End Developer: do you want to be at the forefront of the next phase of our development and deployment of our new state-of-the-art online software?

We are seeking a Lead Front-End Developer with skills in Angular to deliver this working in a small, dynamic team following software best practices to lead the development of financial and production technology solutions.

The skills we seek for the Lead Front-End Developer are:

• Experience developing websites and web applications, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Designing RESTful APIs and integrating to various other API protocols
• Strong experience of web libraries & frameworks, particularly TypeScript & Angular (9+)
• Experience writing testable code with a high degree of automated test coverage
• Test-Driven Development
• Modern web servers such as Apache2 or NginX
• Experience integrating with web analytics platforms, such as Google Analytics and Tag Manager
• Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, NPM, etc.
• Working with Node, NPM, Webkit, Gulp, Grunt etc. for creating automated build systems.
• Experience of one or more cloud infrastructure providers, especially AWS

From a personality/ experience perspective the Lead Front-end Developer will:

• Ability to identify and analyse user requirements
• Ability to break-down tasks and estimate levels of effort
• Good delegation and time management skills
• Able to communicate clearly to a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Utilise code-reviews to improve performance, etc.
• Able to identify and analyse problems systematically.
• Familiar with debugging, prototyping and other techniques
• Comfortable working outside their current realm of experience
• Use new tools & techniques to solve complex problems.
• Analyse, present, and justify recommendations, backed by research and sound reasoning
