Estates Manager

Salary: £39,481 – £44,306 per year

Dedicate Recruitment present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estates Manager to join an inclusive and growing multi-academy trust in the East Midlands.

Based within Central Services in Birmingham, the postholder will support the Director of Estates and Health & Safety in relation to the Health & Safety and Estates strategies, providing operational leadership across all Academies, covering all required estates and facilities improvements.

Monitor, review and report each Academy to ensure buildings meet statutory compliance regulations, relating to Asbestos, Fire and Water Safety regulations, keeping current with changes in legislation and good practice and communicate these changes to Business Managers and Heads of School as necessary.

Working closely with schools to ensure they are managing their Estates and Health & Safety compliance effectively, the postholder will also oversee a portfolio of school development projects, including refurbishments and minor new build projects up to £2M on budget. The successful candidate will bring experience of maintenance and health & safety, together with hands-on knowledge of project and facilities management and overseeing capital projects.

You will be professional, hard-working, multi-skilled and proactive. Evidence of IOSH/NEBOSH and Health & Safety Training is essential, Experience of working in a school would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will hold a current Enhanced DBS check or will be subject to one. A car driver is essential as travel to multi school sites is a key aspect of this post.
