Senior Tv Licensing Manager

Are you a commercially focused negotiator, with a solid understanding of complex commercial deals in the media, looking to an organisation that is committed to delivering a first-class service to all its customers?
Reporting to the Head of Broadcast Licensing, the Senior Television Licensing Manager is a new role focused on developing and implementing the businesses TV Broadcasting licensing strategy.

Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and effective negotiator, have strong analytical skills and will be able to demonstrate sound commercial awareness and judgement.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Producing and implementing TV licensing strategy with the Head of Broadcast Licensing.
* Negotiating key licences with TV broadcasters and related new media platforms.
* Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers and other related industry parties and stakeholders.
* Preparing financial, business and commercial analysis to drive licence negotiations.
* Managing relationships and workflows between internal departments.
* Mentoring and developing the wider team on negotiation and commercial skills.
* Representing the business at industry events and meetings.

About you:
* The ideal candidate should have a degree level education and strong, proven negotiation skills.
* Commercial acumen with credibility and gravitas are essential to this role.
* Whilst an understanding of the media, rights or IP licensing sector would be useful
* The successful candidate will have:
* Proven experience negotiating complex commercial deals in the media, rights or IP or in an equivalent commercial role.
* Demonstrable commercial awareness and business acumen.
