Packing Team Leader

Castle Employment are looking for a Packing Team Leader for one of the area’s most established businesses. Managing a small team, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team to carefully and efficiently pack goods to be sent to customers. The position is full time and is on a 2 week rotational day shift pattern, which is detailed in the Benefits section below.

Requirements:

The key responsibilities for this role are:

Effectively lead the packing team, by example, to ensure goods are ready to be delivered to customers
Communicate to the team and inform the Warehouse Manager of any difficulties that may arise, and work alongside to solve them
Train, coach, motivate and give feedback to the team to achieve required KPI’s/ standards
Deal with any disciplinary/absence issues within the team
Monitor and record performance
To create and update standard operating procedures as required
Occasionally deliver goods to customers directlyThe client is looking for the successful candidate to have the following skills/experience:

Previous management/supervisory experience
Background of working in a manufacturing/production environment
Good levels of literacy and numeracy – written & spoken
Flexibility towards working hours during busy periods
Ability to communicate across the business
Full Driving Licence for the driving aspect of the positionThe Company:

The Benefits:

The role is based in the Scarborough area, so is easily commutable from Bridlington, Beverley, Hull, York, Malton and Driffield
The salary for the position is £26,000
The hours of work are on a 2 week rotational day shift pattern:Week 1- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 6.30am-4.30pm Wednesday 6.30am-1.30pm

Week 2- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 6.30am-4.30pm Saturday 6.30am-10.30am
