Security Architect

Salary: £114,000 – £126,000 per year

My client is a global Group offering corporate and fiduciary services across over 25 different jurisdictions. They are currently looking for a Security Architect to join the team in their Gibraltar office. IT helps support these services using a complex infrastructure of technological resources and have put together a forward schedule of change that will future proof the Group going forward. To that end, the temporary position of Security Architect has become available to help them achieve success on the projects within the forward schedule.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Review current system security measures, recommend and implement enhancements
• Conduct regular system tests and ensure continuous monitoring of network security
• Develop project timelines for ongoing system upgrades
• Ensure all personnel have access to the IT system limited by need and role
• Establish disaster recovery procedures and conduct breach of security drills
• Promptly respond to all security incidents and provide thorough post-event analysis
• Work with third parties to carry out external, internal and Cloud application penetration testing

Requirements for candidates filling this position include:

• Extensive experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance, and reliability
• Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorisation, and security
• Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions
• Experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies
• Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures
• Good, strong service driven mentality
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, logical thinking and research abilities
• Good timekeeping and regular work attendance
• Work cooperatively with other co-workers regardless of personality, presence or communication style
• Provide cordial customer service regardless of customer personality, presence or communication style
• Able to work in high-pressure environments
• Able to coordinate multiple and changing priorities
• Able to verbally communicate with all other associates
• Able to create reports, schedules and other appropriate documentation
• Able to occasionally work outside of normal business hours
• Business Level English both written & spoken is essential
