Global Export Assistant

At Select Appointments, Norwich we are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Global Export Assistant. The client is a very well established business that operates across the UK in the Sales Global Export sector.

As a Global Export Assistant, you will assist in the coordination of shipping of machines, machine parts (spares, additions and miscellaneous dispatches) and labels utilising approved carriers.

The Role as Global Export Assistant

Co-ordinate the logistics/shipping to customer/agents world-wide on a day to day basis.
Processing sales orders, dispatch and shipping documentation via E1 (SIL Business System) and external (UTI, TNT, DHL, UPS and other carrier’s) systems where appropriate, together with manually generated documents as required
Pre-planning shipments with reference to the Master Production Schedule & demands in E1
Ensure all goods are correctly labeled, identified and collected to meet customer’s requirements
Liaising and advising internal customers and carriers on matters of delivery, cost and shipping related queries, including the reconciliation of invoices
Where necessary expediting, rerouting and providing proof of delivery to meet customer’s requirements
Arranging timely collections from customers as required
Maintain relevant/required information systems in the form of computer database records and paper systemsExperience and Skills required

Exporting from the UK to Non-European countries.

Working knowledge of import/export shipping documentation associated with non-European countries.

Numerate/analytical

Accuracy and attention to detail

Good communication skills – verbal and written

Keyboard skills including working knowledge of Word & Excel
