Housing and Community Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a temporary Housing and Community Support Worker to join a leading organisation that supports adults with learning disabilities in Northampton. We exist for the well being of people with learning disabilities. Our other services include domiciliary care, day services, supported living, community connecting, educational programmes and volunteering opportunities.

The Housing and Community Support Worker will be responsible for:
Providing housing related support to assist adults with learning disabilities to maintain their tenancies and achieve their aspirations for independent living
Providing support with housing, budgeting, life and social skills, education, training, employment

The successful Housing and Community Support Worker will have:
Experience of providing housing related support to vulnerable people
Ability to advise on benefits and debt management
Full driving licence and own transport

This is a temporary position until at least December 2015 but it is expected to extend beyond that date.

The hours of work are up to 38 hours per week.

The salary is £26,000per year.
