We are a market leading aerospace manufacturing business working with the world’s leading aircraft OEM’s.
The Camberley site has been recognised within the group as the centre of excellence for composite technology. To keep up with global demand for innovation we are constantly striving to be at the forefront of new technology.
Due to continued growth and customer demand within composites technology we are looking to develop several new recruits to become composite design specialist!
If you are a Degree qualified engineer with at least three years’ experience as a design engineer within an engineering field, preferably aerospace, automotive, defence, SPM or similar, and have an interest in composites this is a great opportunity for you to be a subject matter expert and progress a career in this area of Design!
Key Authorities and Responsibilities:
To develop designs which meet all customer and airframe specifications whilst optimising:-
Weight
Quality fit for purpose
DFM, QFD
Minimalisation of complexity
Utilisation of standard parts
Maintainability
To be able to read either, specifications, drawings and other data in an accurate fashion and interpret that information and incorporate that information into the design.
To work accurately to defined time frames.
To be a member of a project core team and to participate in the direction the design/project is taking.
Have the ability to represent the company at the Customer, OEM or other Group locations.
Ensure that any design complies with the regulatory body and A/C manufacturer certifying the product.
To be an active participant in the promotion of a working culture that is not separated by departments but actively works as a team.
