Production / Machine Operative

Our Corby based client is current looking to recruit an experienced Production Operator.

This role will include duties such as:

– Prepare and make ready coils or night strips for transmission down the line

– Check coil identification, width and gauge

– Assist in setting the machinery

– Input correct data on relevant stock management systems

– Ensure quality and health and safety standards are met at all times

– Assist the foreman when required

– Ensure efficient and complete handover to opposing shift staff

– Recommend improvements to equipment / working procedures

The ideal candidate:

– Educated to GCSE grade C and above or have equivalent experience

– Good computer skills

– Flexible in both ability and attitude to work

– Knowledge of manufacturing processes

– Physical capability (lifting, carrying, pushing)

– Ability to understand and follow process

– Problem Solving

– Organisation and ability to prioritise

– Attention to detail

– Effective communication, both written and verbal

Hours of work are based on a 3 shift rota as follows:

6am-2pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 6am-1pm

2pm-10pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 1pm-8pm

10pm – 6am Monday to Thursday, Friday 8pm – 3am

Salary is £26,000 per year (including shift allowance)
