The employer;
A contract research and analysis organisation serving the consumer goods industry with a client base serving several large brand names.

The job;
This is an administrative position requiring no laboratory work, but knowledge of science is essential.

Receiving data from the analysts in a variety of formats (Excel spreadsheets, Word documents), collating it into an easy to read report format and distributing it to the client’s customers. As part of the process you will note any out of spec or unusual results and confirm the validity of the result with the analysts prior to circulation. You will also be the first point of contact for customer queries regarding out of spec results, initiating any investigative procedures as required.

This is a contract position covering the transition of the client to a new LIMS. Initially for six months this contract may extend to 12 months or more.

You;
Preferably holding a degree in a science subject (materials science, forensics, chemistry, physics, biological sciences), you are able to work with scientific data, differentiating between organic and inorganic analysis methods and recognising common elements from their symbols.

Your written English skills are excellent; you should be thorough, diligent and display excellent attention to detail as well as possessing a polite, professional manner when dealing with customers at all times.

Prior experience of LIMS an advantage though not essential. Advanced skills with other IT packages such as Word and Excel would be a distinct advantage.
