Production Planner / Schedular

Manufacturer of specialist building products – Production Planner/Schedular

Plan and organise schedules of work for the machining cells working in conjunction with the production team to ensure timely production within the factory. Sales order processing, shipping, customer services and managing office staff will also be essential to the role.

Scheduling of work for the machine cells
Administration of goods in and out of the facility
Checking Stock
Raise schedules and update all excel files
Checking of material requirements
Control and filing of drawings / records
Purchasing of consumables for the factory in conjunction with stores/Procurement Manager
Responsible for office budget
Stock takes
Collection of production and attendance data and reporting
Assisting in health and safety and environmental issues/ audits
FSC auditing and recording
Ensure excellent standards of customer service are achieved through proactively managing and developing staff, processes and systems.
Create a culture of continuous development.
Develop, monitor and maintain excellent working relationships and communication with external commercial and operational personnel and departments.

Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word is essential
‘A’ level or equivalent in Maths and English.
Degree level preferred in a relevant managerial discipline.
Understanding of relevant internal sales and/or customer service standards within a customer facing environment.
