Salary: £33,600 – £42,000 per year
The Opportunity
A fantastic new opportunity exists at this award winning, national multi-disciplinary Consultancy for an experienced mechanically biased building services engineer. The position will provide the opportunity to work on the design and modelling of passive buildings. Advise on energy efficiency and conservation. Advise on and design low carbon and renewable technologies using passive design technologies.
The Position
As the Low Carbon Consultant your responsibilities will include
* Working on Dynamic Simulation Modelling and Mechanical Building Services Design
* Responsible for carrying out all company building simulations on Tas Engineering software
* Part L Assessments, generating EPCs, Daylight Factor Calculations, Climate Based Daylight Modelling, Summertime Overheating Assessments (BB101, TM59 & TM52).
* Preparing reports on multi-million pound projects through BREEAM compliance for Overheating, Daylighting and sustainability
The Person
* A masters degree in a relevant discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
* Relevant experience working for a Building Services or multi-disciplinary Consultancy
* IT literate in one or more of the following software packages, Tas Engineering, IES MEPWorx, iSBEM, Stroma SAP 2012, Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, ANSYS, MATLAB, Simulink, and Microsoft Office.
* Preferably a qualified Level 5 EPC Assessor
