Front End Software Engineer

Salary: £60,000 – £66,000 per year

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer with a focus on Front End development to join a leading UK based Software organisation.

This company offers the opportunity for those looking to develop their career in an environment fully engaged with Scrum Agile methodologies and working with the following:

• React
• Redux
• Typescript
• Front-end testing (e.g jest)
• REST APIs

Core responsibilities:

• To write clean and structured, well documented code.
• To build reusable core code libraries, which can be shared.
• To keep up to date with the latest software development technologies and methodologies
• To deliver code which is well tested and consistently error free.
• Design and build database schemas with integrity and scalability with data access layers that are optimised for performance and security.
• To review and promote the appropriate introduction, and plan for the implementation of software tool versions that offer new/latest features. Utilise industry standard software development tools in the most efficient and effective manner.
• To keep aware of latest data protection and security threats and ensure we mitigate against these risks against known industry standards.
• To ensure the technical strategy is implemented and standards are maintained across all solutions for both internal and external clients.

Additional:

• UK based with the ability to visit office sites in Bristol or Birmingham once a month
• Commercial experience as a Software Engineer
• Have previous experience working in Agile methodology (Scrum)
• Good DevOps awareness
• Previous experience in an Agile environment advantageous
