This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Front-End Developer to join a leading digital design agency and be part of a friendly team; joining an established company that has an excellent reputation for producing high-standard work and pushing the boundaries of their industry.

We’re looking for an experienced and talented Front-End Developer that can problem-solve and work closely with designers to deliver exciting and innovative projects.


Key Skills:

• Experience with Responsive Design, Templating and CSS, including knowledge of pre-processors (e.g. SASS, LESS)
• Semantically marked up HTML
• Cross browser development, cross-platform compatible solutions
• Writing clean and maintainable JavaScript, jQuery and XML
• Photoshop, Illustrator for web production (e.g. cropping, masks, selection, layer comps, creating SVG’s)
• Experience in developing responsive and mobile sites
• Agile development methods and supporting tools (Scrum and Kanban)
• Knowledge of working with JavaScript frameworks to create rich interactive content – as many of the.js frameworks as possible
• Good understanding of Web Accessibility
• Version control (e.g. Git)
• Experience and understanding of UX
• Knowledge of HTML Email best practice desirable
• Familiarity with MVC web applications
• Knowledge of front end performance techniques (minification, concatenation)
• Eye for detail and alignment
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

As a Front-End Developer, your main responsibility is for the production, modification and maintenance of websites and web applications user interfaces. This involves working closely with designers, in using semantic mark-up language i.e. HTML/CSS, to turn their static Photoshop designs into working browser based web pages. You’ll also work closely with server-side developers to implement their server-side code in order to develop complex, interactive and database driven websites. Generally you’ll be working with an off-the-shelf or bespoke CMS, so you’ll work closely with the designers to integrate designs seamlessly into the chosen technology.

As a successful Front-End Developer you will need to be confident in Agile development methods, Scrum, Kanban, and coding expertise in HTML and CSS. Any experience working with build automation (Grunt/Gulp), JavaScript, Web Components, WebSockets, WebRTC will be a considered a bonus.
