Job specification:
As an Application Services Apprentice you will follow a structured development programme in our Application and Business Services organisation. On this programme you will be given the opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented people in Hewlett Packard Enterprise. During our 24 month programme you will be given the resources, guidance, and expertise to become a trusted member of our team.

With roles including Incident Analysis, and Operational & Environmental Support, Test Analyst and Software Designer, you will get the chance to use your problem solving skills and interact with our clients in a busy and technically diverse environment. You will support Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s clients’ applications in the public and commercial sectors.

You will start your journey with Hewlett Packard Enterprise with OnBoarding Induction where you will learn about our business, where you fit, you’ll work on projects, and hone in your soft skills. Then it’s in the classroom training with our training provider where you will start to gain the knowledge you will need to be successful in your role.

You’ll then be working in your team, learning from your experienced and talented colleagues and getting to grips with your role. Throughout the programme you will attend training sessions to further enhance your knowledge and skills. You will have the support of your line manager, team, and an assigned mentor. Through ongoing appraisals and feedback processes, you’ll drive your career.

We’re looking for ambitious and talented candidates who have a strong interest in a career in IT. A willing learner, you’ll combine your enthusiasm and problem solving skills. You’ll also be able to work well on our own and as part of a team.

Recruiting now for August & September intakes. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9-5.30.

Training providing for this apprenticeship:
Start with a 12-14 month IT apprenticeship, which consists of training in small groups and work based assessment, covering Event-driven programming.

You will gain City & Guilds Level 3 qualifications in IT Systems & Principles and IT Professional Competence.
