Temporary Accountant

Our client, a large public sector based organisation in the Lisburn area or seeking to recruit a Temporary Accountant with an immediate start date.

Main Duties:

Contribute with the annual accounts from the financial system and supporting schedules for review by the Finance Manager;

To liaise with various departments and other bodies to ensure that detailed queries arising are properly addressed;

Support the Finance Manager in preparation and review of monthly revenue budget reports for all departments;

Prepare depreciation estimates for the annual estimates process;

Preparation and submissions of monthly VAT returns;

Validate and process any journals;

Maintain the integrity of information from all financial systems and updating the month end and year-end control processes as required;

Preparation of specific grant claims and other ad hoc returns for authorisation;

All other duties as required.

Successful candidate must be a full member of a recognised professional accountancy body and a minimum of 3 years employment experience in finance and accountancy.
