Salary: £36,000 per year
Kind Consultancy is working with a successful motor finance business that is currently seeking a Compliance Assurance Officer to join their Manchester office in a permanent role paying circa £36,000 depending on experience. This is a full time, primarily office-based role with flexible working.
The Compliance Assurance Officer will provide regulatory assurance to the business through effective controls and monitoring activity, with key responsibilities including:
* Conducting thematic reviews, gap analysis and audits of various compliance focus areas, including Financial Promotions, Financial Crime, Vulnerable Customers, SM&CR, Business Continuity, Responsible Lending and other key areas relating to the motor finance industry and the current climate in line with the Compliance Monitoring Plan
* Carrying out monitoring activity, including both desk and field-based testing in line with agreed monitoring methodology
* Providing clear and accurate reports of key findings to the Compliance Assurance Manager and key stakeholders.
* Presenting key findings and recommendations for improvement to stakeholders across the business.
* Collaborating with business departments to promote a positive compliance culture.
* Supporting the wider Compliance and Risk team in the delivery of key objectives in support of the wider business.
* Maintaining knowledge of new and evolving regulatory compliance requirements and good industry practice
Our ideal candidate for the Compliance Assurance Officer position:
* Has 2+ years of experience in a similar Compliance role within Financial Services – having exposure to QA, Complaints, Thematic Reviews and Senior Stakeholders would be highly beneficial
* Can demonstrate a strong knowledge of FCA rules and guidance, Data Protection laws and other relevant regulations
* Has a positive approach and is passionate about creating positive Compliance cultures
* Is a problem solver with project management skills
* Is highly organised, analytically minded and IT literate
* Is an excellent communicator, with strong leadership and negotiation skills and precise, clear writing and speech
