Since 1983 Amco has provided reliable and dedicated Logistics and Warehouse services across a wide range of industrial and commercial sectors. Their UK and global logistics team include specialists experienced in almost every aspect of Worldwide logistics, including many that have previously worked directly in such fields as the automotive, waste, defence and FMCG markets. These skills and long term experience, together with an understanding and appreciation of geographical complexities enable Amco to think like their customer and provide their clients with the very best advice and logistics service.

The Opportunity:

Amco are dedicated to providing opportunities for young people through their newly formed Apprenticeship programme. 8 young learners will have the chance to join the organisation on an apprenticeship scheme and gain valuable qualifications whilst benefitting from being mentored towards an exciting career in Global Logistics & Warehousing by the expert team within the company.

Apprenticeship opportunities are available in the following teams:

1. EU & Time Critical Freight

2. International & Customs

3. IT

4. Finance

5. UK Fleet (Transport)

6. Warehouse

Depending on which team you join, you will learn and cover a wide range of skills throughout your apprenticeship with Amco. These may include (but are not limited to):

* Managing customer expectations via Telephone, Email, Teams etc.

* Communicating with other teams clearly and accurately

* Keeping records accurately

* Running reports from the system

* Data entry tasks

* Liaising with suppliers, team members, other departments and customers

* General administrative duties (printing, scanning, filing etc)

* Quoting customers

Whichever department you join and whichever role you fulfil, we can assure you that we are committed to providing you with a strong support network and all of the knowledge and tools you need to enable you to succeed in your apprenticeship.

You will be joining our business along with other young learners in the same position as you. So, as well as being surrounded by our expert team who will guide, support and mentor you, you will have peers of a similar age to share this exciting experience with.
