Salary: £60,000 – £72,000 per year

With a commitment to providing sustainable solutions and achieve standards of excellence within all of their projects, this tier 1 main contractor is one of the leading lights in the busy world of London fit out.

An Environmental & Sustainability Manager is urgently required to join their team and assist in the collective commitment to make a real difference to the construction industry in terms of sustainability and environmental build.

Reporting directly to the Head of Environmental & Sustainability, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for defining and developing both the environmental and sustainability drive throughout the business and with their client base, ensuring the business can consistently deliver on its strategy to produce sustainable projects.

Environmental & Sustainability Manager – responsibilities and duties:

* Carry out internal audits and analysis of environmental performance on site, providing internal and external reports as necessary

* Ensure the safe delivery of all agreed BREEAM jobs through effective communication

* Develop and deliver environmental awareness training to all internal staff

* Maintain records of waste figures

* Provide regular updates on important environmental activity

* Attend seminars and events to maintain best practice and keep up to date with industry requirements

Environmental & Sustainability Manager – qualifications, skills and experience:

* Proven experience in an Environmental / Sustainability role

* A strong knowledge of construction would be preferred – ideally within design and build fit out but our client will consider other backgrounds

* Tenacity, persistence and passion – this is a highly demanding role requiring the post holder to show resilience and drive

* Working towards or qualified to BREEAM AP status

* Able to travel to London based sites

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
