40 hours per week, contract based, midlands location, £21.6 – £26.6 per hour DOE

I am currently recruiting for a Powertrain Quality & Warranty Engineer to join a team within the powertrain department. You will be based onsite the manufacturing plant for a leading Automotive OEM in the midlands. This is a long term contract based opportunity.

Powertrain Quality & Warranty Engineer

Position Description:

•Powertrain Quality & Warranty Engineer investigating current model warranty issues

Skills Required: 3 Key Skills:
•1) Technical background preferably with knowledge of engines engineering and/or Powertrain systems.
•2) Competent IT skills especially in the use of MS Excel (eg pivot tables), Word and PowerPoint.
•3) Experience in collating and presenting analysis findings for verbal and written communication to others

Experience Required:
•An understanding of design principles and the application of quality tools within an engineering environment.
•Experience of working within an engineering, warranty returns/analysis or product development environment.
•Experience in detailed data analysis to identify trends/patterns.

Experience Preferred:
•DMAIC problem solving capability (Green Belt level)
•Degree in an engineering discipline preferred
