Quality Inspector / Engineer – required for an immediate start based nr Wallsend.
Working within the manufacturing operation of this advanced engineering company you will act as an integral member of the quality team. Inspecting engineered components against specifications and monitoring supplier quality to ensure achievements of set KPI’s will be the basic focus of this role.
Using standard Quality Inspection tools you will record your findings to ensure traceability of 3rd party manufactured / in-house components and ensure materials and specifications meet the standards set out in the bill of materials BOM. This will include completing none conformance reports where required and conducting root cause analysis.
Using your engineering experience you will also become an expert in the manufacturing process with the ability to coach or train fitters ensuring best practise when assembling products.
Essential skills / experience:
* Apprenticeship trained mechanical engineer
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings / specifications
* Experience of root cause analysis
* Have a thorough understanding of engineering best practise
* Previous experience of first and final inspection
* Complete none conformance reports
