Support Workers – Full Time and Part Time required for Supported Living services in Farnborough.
Location: Farnborough, Surrey
Salary: £26,000per year to £26,000 per year
About this Job:
We are looking for friendly, caring, reliable and conscientious Support staff who want to make a real difference to the lives of people.
As a Support Worker you will be supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities to achieve the following:
* Structure to their day
* Support with activities involved in daily life
* Promote their independence and re-enablement
* Support the quality of life and potential of each individual
Requirements:
* Confidence in lone working with vulnerable individuals in the community.
* Ability to explore and support individuals in accessing community activities.
* Where required to provide personal care to clients in a way which respects their choices and dignity.
* To deal appropriately with behaviour which challenges services following the Support Plan at all times and working proactively to prevent and de-escalate such behaviour wherever possible.
* To support clients to fulfil their aspirations, supporting them live as independently as possible, in accordance with their particular skills and abilities.
