Assistant Estimator
Birmingham
To £42,000 per annum + benefits
After securing a number of contracts in the East Midlands, this prestigious, award winning national Contractor is seeking an experienced Assistant Estimator who has an understanding of new build projects.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience estimating on projects within the Education, Housing and Accommodation sectors. Your role will be to obtain and evaluate information to ensure an accurate and competitive estimate of cost for the supply of works, goods, materials and services.
Key Skills required:
Estimating contracts at PQQ stage of the tender process.
Commercially aware and astute
Ability to provide commercial information to the operations teams, including cost and contractual advice.
Evaluation of contract documentation
Strong knowledge of building technologies and Construction process
Having an inquisitive personality and think outside the box
Evaluation of sub contract packages
Client liaison skills
High level of attention to detail
Working within a customer focused team.
Good at problem solving and providing effective solutions to the clients and the delivery team.
