Finance Analyst

Salary: £28,800 – £32,400 per year

Orion Group Sciences have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Business Analyst for our multinational medical devices client based in the Berkshire area on an initial 8-month contract.

This position is for a financial business analyst with strong technical skills as well as a solid base of finance /FP&A knowledge. The individual must able to understand and implement technical solutions, provide systems support to both regional as well as local finance users and work in close contact with the global GFS and technical teams.

The Financial Systems & Technology (FS&T) Organisation is the backbone of the Company finance. Within this global group all FP&A activities are performed along with the process and technology developments to support the ongoing development of theses value add activities.

The Finance Technology Solutions Group within FS&T is focused on Envisioning and delivering the finance technology to support the enterprise ambitions. The EMEA systems teams is part of this team and focused on delivery in the EMEA region.

The responsibility of the EMEA FS&T Systems team is to provide support for the planning and reporting technologies used by the teams in the FP&A CoE and the wider EMEA community. The key objectives are maintaining data quality, controlling and developing the planning models, upskilling end users and providing support during planning cycles.

Main Responsibilities

Perform testings of new Anaplan environment
Business partnering with project members to share findings, investigate issues, providing further feedback to project team
Develop process documentation
Support Commercial analysts by developing expert knowledge
Deliver end user training to educate users on the systems and processes
Support TM1 planning system, including data reconciliations
Ensure data integrity between regional source systems and global FP&A systems
Help to improve end user experience
Desired Experience and Background of the successful candidate

Strong technical systems background (Anaplan – essential, TM1/PAX experience preferable)
Qualified with recognised financial qualification (CIMA, ACCA etc) or equivalent highly advantageous
Strong technical/analytical skills within a complex financial accounting and systems environment
Problems solving and ability to deal with ambiguity desirable
Strong interpersonal & communication skills with an ability to partner with people at different levels
