School Cleaner / Domestic Assistant

£26,000 per year

Kedleston High Peak School is a residential school providing 52 week provision for young people aged 9 to 17 years with social, emotional and behavioral difficulties and we are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join us as a School Cleaner / Domestic Assistant.

The School Cleaner will be responsible for supporting the Housekeeping Manager with daily cleaning and housekeeping duties 30 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

* Cleaning to a high standard the area or areas delegated by the Housekeeping Manager.
* Storing safely all cleaning materials at the end of the duty period in the appropriate storage facility.
* Participating in thorough ‘Spring Cleaning’ of allocated areas during School holidays.
* Adhering to good health and hygiene practices.
* On occasion, when required by the Housekeeping Manager, and / or to cover for absent colleagues, to assist the Cook with the preparation and cooking of food.
* Participating in arrangements for your Induction, supervision, training and development.
* Undertaking qualifications deemed necessary by the Housekeeping Manager/ Principal/ Registered Manager to fulfil the requirements of the post.

Person Specification:
* Experience previously in a housekeeping role
* Hard working attitude
* Organised approach
