Industrial Sewing Machinist

We have an opportunity for an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our Engineering and Manufacturing company in the Southend area. You will be required to work within the Upholstery Department overlocking and sewing cut parts into complete covers.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

•To overlock cut parts as per instructions/training

•To sew cut parts into complete items referencing drawings, templates, work instructions and/or samples

•To cut parts into complete items referencing drawings, templates, work instructions and/or samples

•To carry out any reworks deemed necessary by management, supervision or inspection

•To keep the sewing machine/overlocker in a clean and regularly oiled condition and report any faults to the Team Leader

•To work within guidelines/instructions to ensure traceability is maintained

The hours are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Fridays 8am to 1 pm (39 hours per week).
