Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £50,400 – £53,400 per year

Our client, a leading manufacturer who supplies products to the automotive and construction industry is looking to recruit an Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Clayton, Bradford. This is a great opportunity to work for a business that is continuously investing in its plant and staff and who are happy to fund various courses to help you develop as an Engineer.

The working hours are 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am, Monday-Friday. For this, you will receive a salary of £50,400 – £53,400, a monhtly bonus scheme, 25 days annual leave, discounts on high-street brands and a great company pension.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for

• Carrying out maintenance on tasks on equipment
• Performing periodic inspections on the plant machinery and automated systems
• Scheduling planned and preventive maintenance work
• Ensuring that machinery and equipment are kept in good working order
• Intervening immediately in the event of breakdowns, failures, or malfunctions
• Repairing and/or replacing broken or defective components
• Checking repaired components and machinery to ensure normal functionality has been restored
• Ensuring that machinery and equipment meet safety regulations
• Documenting maintenance activities

Required experience

• Must have previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Strong electrical or mechanical fault finding, diagnostics, and repair skills
• To be a team player but able to think on your own initiative when needed
