Catering Development Officer

Adecco Ilford are currently recruiting for a temporary Catering Development Officer to work within schools based in East London. We are looking for candidates that will be available to work Full-Time Mondays-Fridays.

Duties will include:

* Monitor the School Meals Service at various schools ensuring a high quality of meals are provided to students
* Support the Catering Development Manager to ensure compliance with the Government food standards and Nutritional guidelines, and with financial data such as meal number forecasts and budgets
* Liaise with Head Teachers, Bursars, and Healthy School Coordinators to develop and maintain effective partnerships with the aim to embrace the approach to healthy eating.
* Ensure the school dining room atmosphere and environment is appropriate and the school kitchens meet legal requirements with regards to food safety.
* Produce detailed inspection reports providing recommendations to caterers, ensuring continual service improvements

Suitable applicants will need to have some experience of working within Catering and Food Health and Safety, along with administration skills. Experience within a school environment would be desirable. You will have the ability to follow strict procedures and guidelines to ensure the efficient running of school meals services.

Applicants must undertake an enhanced DBS (CRB) check prior to starting the new role as you will be working around children.
