Technical Executive / Digital Marketing Trainee

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Technical Executive or Digital Marketing Trainee to join our client’s Digital Marketing team. This is a unique and outstanding opportunity to develop and grow with an exciting agency, offering brilliant career development prospects.

We are working closely with a Marketing Agency based in Shrewsbury who has a nationwide client base. Their services include Search Engine Optimisation, Adwords PPC, Social Media and Email marketing.

This is an exciting role with a good variety of work including Email campaigns, Website Analytics, Website technical reviews. The Technical Executive works alongside Account Executives and Managers supporting their work on client campaigns.

Email Marketing
Managing email lists from CSV, through Excel and SQL Databases
Uploading/downloading email lists to/from servers
Liaise with Email designers
Use tools to test Emails for deliverability, formatting and spam issues
Uploading HTML Emails and Images to servers, sometimes tweaking HTML
Scheduling bulk email sends
Analyse and report on email campaigns in Excel – internal and for clients

Website Analysis
Google Analytics and Google Webmaster tools
Rank tracking tools
Competitor analysis tools
Backlink tools
Use automated website analysis tools
Manual review of Website structure and coding
Indexation in Google
XML Sitemaps
Also Social Media Analysis
Analyse and report – Internal and for clients

Skills Desired / Required
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Numerate and Analytical
Graduate with relevant experience preferred but not essential
Trainee applicants must have skills in some of the areas we are seeking
Excel – beyond =sum and hopefully pivot tables
HTML & CSS – good understanding of code
Microsoft Access – compare two tables and find records in one not in the other
SQL databases – MySQL
Produce statistical reports in Excel and Word

In return, our client is looking to offer a basic Salary: £26,000 – £26,400. On the job training is provided and opportunities to progress in time to Technical Manager. to be considered.
