Syrup Room and Quality Checking Operative

On behalf of our prestigious client, Princes Ltd, Stafforce Recruitment currently have exciting opportunities for Syrup Room operative / Compounder / Mixing Operative to work in their modern factory based in the Shieldhall Area of Glasgow.

Princes Ltd (Glasgow) are the third largest supplier of soft drinks in the UK in a market worth 8 billion annually.

This is a fast paced food production environment so you will need to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness of the work areas. Particular to this role you will need to be numerate and literate, pay close attention to detail, and have a good understanding of weighing and measurement, or have previous experience of mixing chemicals.

This role does involve some heavy lifting.

Duties within the syrup room include assisting with the measuring, weighing and mixing of raw ingredients which include powders, and maintaining high housekeeping standards. Previous experience of all aspects and quality checking and recording are essential for this role.

Full training will be given on a full time basis for 12 weeks.

The shift pattern will be Monday to Thursday 16:15 to 22:30. There may also be opportunities for additional hours over the weekends.

The hourly rate of pay is 7.50, plus overtime.

There is free on-site parking and full access to a canteen area.

This is temporary long term work with the possibility of permanent work for the right candidate.
