International Charity Accountant & Trainer

International Programme Accountant and Trainer required for an international charity. The role is responsible for leading on financial training in the International Division and also acts as a finance business partner to the Global Emergencies Unit as well as providing financial surge support to large and complex emergencies.

Your duties will include:

To provide financial guidance and advice to members of the Global Emergencies Unit through meaningful analysis and interpretation of results and forecasts;
To develop and keep updated all financial processes relating to emergency appeals;
To provide financial support to emergency appeals managed by the Global Emergencies Unit including attending ETFs
To carry out the financial risk assessments
To be the finance contact for the Global Emergencies Unit through planning, budgeting and forecasting;
To ensure that the financial elements of International Division restricted fund applications managed by the Global Emergencies Unit are prepared, reviewed and supported;

Potential candidate criteria:

Qualified accountant with relevant experience
of delivering financial training especially to non-finance people*
Experience of supporting programme teams with budget and forecast preparation*
Ability to think strategically
Available to travel internationally for up to 12 weeks per year
