JUNIOR/TRAINEE WEB DEVELOPER
Our client has an opening for a Junior/Trainee Developer to work in their Web/Digital Development Team, to work on a variety of exciting client projects.
With on-the-job training and support the successful applicant can expect to write code, create site layouts/maps, integrate back-end services, work with creative designers, maintain software documentation, support testing, use analytics and SEO techniques, and work with clients for their feedback and amendments during site development.
Ideal applicants will have a passion for web development and be able to demonstrate their skills and understanding but will not be experienced professionals – the client prefers to develop and train staff to their own in-house style and standards.
Ideally applicants will have and be able to evidence:
• Their passion for web development and technical challenges
• IT qualifications gained through completion of Sixth Form College, a relevant IT Apprenticeship, IT Degree or similar
• An understanding of programming languages HTML, CSS, JavaScript & PHP
• An understanding of the importance of Web Standards and User Experience
• Knowledge of Dreamweaver, InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator
• Working examples of WordPress theme development/web-site development and maintenance
• A GCSE in English along with a good command of the English Language for writing and proofreading content, user guides, client communications etc.
• Motivation and a good attitude to work and professional development.
