JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: CELL LEADER

My client, an engineering company who provide offshore services to the oil and gas industry currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cell Leader to join their team.

JOB PURPOSE:
Providing leadership to a multi-functional manufacturing team to ensure customer product is produced and delivered effectively, on�time, to the required quality specification and in a cost effective manner.

Ensuring people work safely whilst adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Supporting the introduction of lean manufacturing concepts in order to ensure the manufacturing processes continuously become more efficient and non-value added activities are eliminated.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Proactively promote the company Core Values.
2) Actively support and engage in all HSE activity ensuring personnel are fully compliant with company policies and procedures.
3) Manages an autonomous team actively encouraging employee empowerment
4) Run Kaizen events to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
5) Drive a relentless focus on continuously improving the Key Performance Indicators (KPI�s) of HSE, Quality, Cost, Productivity and Delivery.
6) Develop and execute production schedules and plans ensuring robust Production Activity Control is applied.
7) Monitor the daily performance of the Cell
8) Maintain the Visual Factory.
9) Perform Safety, 5S and TPM audits.
10) Investigate non-conformance, identify root cause and propose corrective and preventative action.
11) Ensures the speedy resolution of issues.
12) Participate and actively support the development of both Lean Manufacturing Best Practice Principles and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
13) Ensure all employees are trained & competent for all tasks undertake.
14) Assist in maintaining a Cell Training and Development plan
15) Report on performance against KPIs
16) Ensuring poor or exemplary performance are identified and managed accordingly.
17) Conduct annual performance appraisals.
18) Ensure good communications throughout the Cell and to external customers.
19) Any other duties required by the Value Stream leader.

QUALIFICATIONS:

� Leadership responsibility and experience in a lean manufacturing environment
� ILM level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or equivalent
� IOSH Certified
� Computer literate; MS Office suite.
