Reporting to Head of Technical Sales the Applications Engineer will support the Sales team with accurately costed technical solutions to win orders for both products and services.

Responsibilities of the Applications Engineer

• Translating the client requirements and specifications into a costed technical proposal
• Supporting sales in the successful negotiation with the client acceptable pricing, technical details, commercial terms and conditions
• Undertaking tendering activities including site surveys and other on-site and off-site client meetings
• Communicating effectively to hand over successful project orders to the Contracts, Engineering and Manufacturing teams
• Providing technical support to the Project/Contracts Manager throughout the delivery of the project

Experience and Qualifications required:

• Graduate, HNC/HND, or equivalent, in a suitable engineering discipline
• High level of IT literacy and experience with spread sheets and word processing
• A high level of technical skills, organisational skills, numeracy and literacy, with a good competency in presentation of documentation and a flexible approach to working
