Registered Children’s Home Manager (EBD)

Salary: £39,600 – £48,000 per year

On behalf of my client we are looking for a Children’s Home Manager for the Ipswich, Suffolk area. You need to be dynamic, ambitious and energetic with experience in managing residential homes for children and young people aged 10 -18withemotional and behavioural difficulties, learning difficulties, and/or history of mental health problems.

You will need to have a Registered Manager’s award, Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services or a Level 4 qualification relevant to working with children, as well as in management, and have at least 2 years experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting within the last 5 years. You will also need at least one year experience of supervising and managing professional staff.

You must have excellent leadership and management skills, Good organisational skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You must also have the ability to deliver at least ‘good’ rating in the home’s first Ofsted inspection or maintain an ‘outstanding’ rating passion, drive, resilience and ambition.

This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per year and the salary is £39,600 – £48,000depending on experience.
