Our client is a well established Cambridgeshire based groundworks contractor working within residential and commercial groundworks. Due to organic growth, the company is looking to engage with experienced estimators that have a strong background working with groundworks companies.

They are looking for a candidate that can hit the ground running and help the company win profitable projects from an existing client base and hopefully, new clients.

ROLE:

• Self-motivation with excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to negotiate with a range of professionals
• Make accurate time and cost estimates, and resolve any issues that arise
• Ability to research construction documents and analyse specifications
• Preparing estimates to meet project goals
• Ensuring that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before tender deadline
• Tenders delivered on time
• Accurately determine the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labour for construction projects
• Effective and efficient utilisation of resources
• Secure profitable works.

CANDIDATE:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Proven experience in all aspects of estimating for ground works packages
• Experience in calculating major construction cost estimates
• Proven track record in the planning, development, negotiation, and contract execution of a project.
