Marketing Assistant

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Assistant to work in a Manufacturing business in Telford.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering sales according to targets and by implementing consumer and customer marketing initiatives. You will be aware of the Category Management principles and techniques and use these to develop profitable business propositions with clients.

In this position, you will be managing the launch of new range changes and design customer-specific promotional plans to achieve sales and reach targets.
You will have to ensure products are launched within agreed customer timescales and evaluate and launch customer specific new and existing product development opportunities.

As a Marketing Assistant, you will be writing reports to demonstrate performance versus business targets and competitors. You’ll also be working with the commercial team to implement new and existing product development opportunities.

This is a 12 months fixed term contract. Immediate start available.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in project management or brand sales/marketing within UK retail FMCG or consumer products in comparable markets.

-2:1 University Degree (or equivalent) in Marketing or Business related studies
-Having previously delivered projects against agreed deadlines and budgets
-Experience in using Retail Category Management techniques and principles
-Experience of working with customers and presenting to UK FMCG retailers
-Great written and verbal communication skills
-Being able to work with and influence all levels of management internally and externally

A large Manufacturing company, based in Telford.
