Junior Research Technician

Salary: £30,000 – £42,000 per year

If you’re looking for a new role as a Junior Research Technician you’ve come to the right place! Our client is looking for a hardworking and dedicated Research Technician to assist them on their aim to provide both in vitro and in vivo testing services.
Our client works to bring clarity to drug discovery around the world by helping biopharmaceutical companies to solve today’s challenges on inflammation, oncology, cardiovascular and metabolic disease drug discovery.
Main responsibilities as a Research Technician include but not limited to:
* Working as a member of the operations team, the successful candidate will be performing experimental procedures on both client and research in vivo projects
* Performing duties that are appropriate to supporting the functioning of the in vivo laboratories, such as animal welfare checks and maintaining supplies of materials
What experience and qualifications do I need?
* A minimum of NVQ, GCSE, A-Level education or BTEC National
* A BTEC National Diploma in Animal Care (or a related area) would be to an advantage
* Holds a Personal Licence Modules 1-3 (PIL AB)
* Must have the desire to learn all aspects of working in an animal unit, including husbandry and experimental procedures
