Ict Senior Officer

Operational Management
Through knowledge, skills and experience, provide direct response and senior operational (3rd line) support to all service users (members, officers and external agencies) for all incidents, requests, projects and initiatives as directed to meet given timescales and quality standards.
To lead on technical aspects of projects and initiatives in order to meet time and budget requirements.
To take a leading role in the operational maintenance and development of processes, infrastructure and systems as appropriate to achieve an on-going programme of service improvements.
To supervise and delegate the allocation of tasks within a functional area.
To actively support Process Improvement activities.
To act as a technical mentor and provide guidance for other more junior officers within the department.
Communication & Consultation
To develop and build close and effective working relationships with department colleagues whilst also maintaining and enhancing productive working relationships with customers of the service (both internal and external). To respond to feedback to ensure that services are aligned with customer and citizen needs at all times.
Partnership & Business Development
To provide senior operational and development support for existing and new partnerships and commercial arrangements in line with agreed service level.
Resource Management
To be aware of, and be flexible to, changing resource constraints and requirements within projects and initiatives. To direct the workload of others as a sub set of a project or initiative.
To achieve timescales and targets derived from the service plan.
Risk Management
To adhere to all appropriate risk management procedures including the identification and notification of new risks and the proactive maintenance of mitigating actions.
Project and Change Management
To lead small projects and to deliver elements of larger projects, programmes and initiatives, in line with Corporate Improvement and Development plans, to time and to budget.
Health & Safety
To adhere to best practice in meeting the requirements of Health and Safety legislation and also comply with other relevant legislation.
