Salary: £54,000 – £66,000+ benefits (Dependent on experience)

Due to their continued growth and success, they are currently seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their busy, vibrant team in West Kent.

In order to be sucessful you must hold – MCSE (Messaging) 2010/2013 (Mandatory)

Overview:

This purpose of this role is take responsibility for the Microsoft Exchange Platform. Specifically, to ensure that the exchange platform is performant, resilient, has adequate capacity, is secure, patched and conformant with Microsoft best practices.

In addition the individual will be responsible for providing 3rd line IT infrastructure support for key systems and services and to design solutions that align to technology trends and agreed standards.

Responsibilities:

· Accountable for the support and maintenance of the Exchange, Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory services.

· To work with 3rd party support services as required.

· To provide assistance and support to the project team throughout the project lifecycle.

· Provide design authority expertise to ensure that Microsoft solutions are fit for purpose and delivered to an agreed standard

· To ensure all aspects of the Microsoft infrastructure and group systems are monitored and appropriate alerting mechanisms have been setup.

· To work with and contribute to specific ITIL based functions, including Change, Asset, Capacity and Availability management.

· Excellent understanding of the commercial and business impact of IT outages with the business.

· To be capable of supporting a 24×7 service operation.

Essential

o Excellent knowledge of the following key technologies;

o MS Exchange 2007/2010/2013, MS Windows Server 2008/2012, Active Directory, Storage Area Networks, VMWare

o Networking principles including switching, routing and extensive support across LAN`s & WAN`s

o Qualifications – MCSE (Messaging) 2010/2013 (Mandatory)

Desirable

· Demonstrable experience of working within a senior technical team

· Experience of working with a Tier 3 Data Centre environment

· Excellent knowledge of the ITIL framework
