Care Home Manager – Cambridge- £42.2K + bonus and benefits

Our client is a leading charity that provides care and support for older people through a national network of residential care homes, sheltered housing and community services. They are currently seeking a highly experienced manager for an established home that offers Residential and Dementia care and is located in the Cambridge area.

We are looking to recruit a manager with experience at a senior manager level within the care home sector, which includes direct line management of all staff including qualified nurses, budget responsibilities, a good understanding of person centred care and an ability to support and manage staff teams.

The successful candidate will ideally be NVQ4/RMA/LMC qualified. You will have experience of managing a care home and a proven track record with CQC. You will demonstrate experience of managing financial plans/budgets and will have staff supervisory and appraisal experience. In addition it is essential they are experienced in motivating and developing a staff team to achieve high standards for the home and residents.

Good communication and administration skills, the ability to prioritise and cope with a busy and varied workload is essential. Above all you will need to demonstrate empathy towards older people and an understanding of their needs. Our client offers a generous salary and benefits package including a manager’s bonus scheme.
