Electrical Estimator
Predominantly home based with office visits – London Bridge
£60 000 – £65 000 per annum
As one of our key clients expands we are helping them add their first pre construction member of staff. The company is a £10m turnover MEP contractor that delivers exclusively to the MMC/ Modular / Volumetric industry. As the government and industry moves this way their order book is expanding, and their upstream clients are looking for more detailed costings. Therefore, they have a need for an experienced electrical estimator to join the team.
The company delivers for consultancy led contractors that work with clients from RIBA 0, fully collaborative design and build projects within education, defence and healthcare. 50% of building services is able to be built in factory, although estimates will be created in the same way as a traditional contractor. They have an order book of work that will double over the next two years and they already have a full order book at £10m for that time
This is one of the few purpose led contractors in the market, delivering a net zero carbon product, manufactured in the UK and delivering spaces that are good for the environment and allow people to thrive. They are focused on continuous evolvement of efficient processes and systems to maximise high quality delivery of mechanical and electrical installation with a key focus on Sustainability and Net Zero Carbon outputs.
As an Estimator you will be responsible for calculating project cost, taking into account labour, material and equipment requirements. Compile a detailed estimate and analyse different quotes from suppliers. You will work from a bill of quantities or drawings from our client. You will negotiate with suppliers and gain quotes and use this information to compile detailed cost proposals for our client. Value engineering to solve problems, identify and eliminate unwanted costs and improve function and quality. Proven solid track record required, with a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience and be computer literate. The company works with Trimble so a knowledge of building within this software would be a benefit.
