Senior Procurement Manager

Salary: £26,000 per year

Insight Executive Group is working with a high profile, public sector organisation to source a talented Senior Procurement Manager. In this role, you will deliver procurement activities for a range of procurement ‘packages’ to support the delivery of a large and complex construction project.

As Senior Procurement Manager, you will work closely with colleagues across the business to prepare and deliver the procurement activities of a procurement ‘package’ worth between £26,000m and £1bn. You will support the organisation’s strategic goals by building value-adding supply chains with sustainable commercial relationships.

Specific responsibilities of this role will be:

* To successfully achieve the award of all contracts required to deliver the construction, testing, commissioning and operation of this construction project in a fair, transparent, and non-discriminatory manner.

* To provide commercial support and decision-making across all company contracts.

* To manage contracts, ensuring that they deliver value for money and meet the strategic objectives of the project throughout the term of the agreement.

* To negotiate Commercial Agreements with third parties, coordinating interfaces and integrating across contracts and suppliers.

To apply for this role, you will have proven experience procuring large value complex heavy civil / construction or similar works in compliance with the Utilities Contracts Regulations. You will have thorough knowledge of applicable EU and UK procurement legislation and contracts using the NEC suite of contract forms

Experience in operating in a matrix environment is essential, with demonstrable influencing and communication skills.

You will posses sound knowledge of Governance, Assurance & Compliance processes, UCR/PCR Application as well as project management and planning.
