Salary: £38,400 – £40,800 per year
Job Summary
To provide planned preventative and emergency maintenance for all plant and equipment services, incorporating out of hours maintenance support. To also carry out mechanical/ electrical installations in accordance with relevant regulations.
Brief Description
• To carry out scheduled planned preventative maintenance.
• To respond/co-ordinate emergency breakdowns on all plant and equipment including site services.
• To control helpdesk calls and generate own work from CMMS including work closeout and input of work history (out of hours).
• Issue and control of permits to work, including accommodation of contractors on site.
• To participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Co-ordinate/carry out all out of hours pre-defined emergency procedures, i.e. Electrical / Water / Gas Supply, Alarms / Fire protection systems, as well as working with specialised sub-contractors e.g. motor rewind specialists etc.
Hours of Work
• Continental Shifts – Working a lifestyle balance pattern 2 shifts on following by 2 shifts off, 3 shifts on followed by 2 shifts off, 2 shifts on followed by 3 shifts off – alternating from days to nights.
• An average of 40.71 hours per week.
• A shift pattern is available by request.
Requirements
• Applicants should have completed a recognised apprenticeship and must be qualified to at least BTEC/HNC – Electrical with some mechanical knowledge and experience preferred.
• 3 years minimum experience working in a high volume manufacturing environment is essential.
• 17th Edition Regulations is required.
• A working knowledge of PLC’s, robotics and moulding equipment would be an advantage.
• Must be computer literate.
