Maintenance Engineer

Role – Maintenance Engineer
Location – Close to Ipswich, Suffolk
Working Hours – Monday to Friday, Full time hours
Salary: Depending on experience
Capacity of role – Temporary position to cover holiday initially

Our growing and well established client is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join their busy team.
The purpose of this role is that you’ll be responsible for making sure machinery and equipment runs smoothly. You will be working in an FMCG Environment

Main duties will include –
 Preventative maintenance for onsite machinery
 Carrying out quality inspections
 Responding immediately to equipment breakdowns
 Fitting new parts
 Fixing faults or arranging for replacements to be installed
 Keeping production managers informed of progress

Candidate attributes –
 Having worked in a similar position previously
 Good practical and technical skills
 Communication skills
 An understanding of engineering drawings and principles
 The ability to work quickly and under pressure
 The ability to manage a varied workload
 Good problem-solving skills
 The initiative to work on your own or as part of a team
 An awareness of health and safety legislation
 Basic Electrical and Plumbing qualification
