CAD Technician

Salary: £33,600 – £36,000 per year

CAD Technician, Brough area, Up to C 30,000

Arlington Moore is working exclusively for a hugely successful, well-established design to manufacture engineering company based in Hull who have an enviable client base. Due to ongoing expansion and further contracts, they are looking to recruit a CAD Technician for their busy engineering and projects team.

Working as the CAD Technician you will be responsible for;

• Working on individual CAD jobs
• Creating 2d manufacturing and assembly drawings using Autocad and accurate Bills of Materials
• Ensure CAD drawings are produced to standard formats and take into account regulations such
• Design and calculation of simple components
• Amend/update CAD drawings as a result of performing design changes and improvements
• Liaison with the shop floor during production of the job

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of the CAD Technician

• Fluency in Autocad
• Good engineering knowledge of materials and their properties
• An understanding of Design for Manufacture
• Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to visualise solutions
• The ability to work to deadlines
