Electronic Design Engineer Contractor

This growing company design, manufacture and supply illuminated traffic signage, Highway products and control systems and have a diverse range of products supplying both the UK and international markets. Now currently recruiting for a contract Electronic Engineer to work within the design team on a specific project. The project currently produces high reliability systems for sign lighting and for road side control applications. This project requires design, development, implementation and testing of micro-controller based system for a new and innovative product for the road side environment.

Essential Work Experience:

Proven design experience in subject area below
-Digital circuit design, micro-controller design, PCB layout design.
Proven knowledge of a broad range of electronic and electrical engineering topics
Proven experience in writing firmware and software in assembler and C / C++
Driving product through EMC certification
Educated to degree level or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or equivalent

Additionally experience in the following would be beneficial:- transferring design to manufacture, specifying products and providing technical support to customers, production and internal and external sales.
