IT Infrastructure Manager

My client is looking for an IT infrastructure manager with overall responsibility for managing and maintaining the client Infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong mix of knowledge and experience of the current set of tools and technologies that the client uses and this will give you them the oversight to be able to help define and implement the IT infrastructure strategy for the client as well as ensure that the existing environment meets the business needs.

You will manage the infrastructure team (6 staff) which is responsible for the following:
* Systems Management and Monitoring
* IT Security
* Database Administration
* Defining and delivering IT Infrastructure projects
* Providing DR services in support of Business Continuity
* Project governance
* Documentation of Operational Procedures

The manager will be part of the Business Delivery management team and will be accountable to the Business Delivery Managers on the above activities; manage the team resources in line with business priorities and carry out work in the above areas as appropriate.

A key part of the role will be to define an initial action plan to take the required next steps to fully integrate the work of the team into the change programme. In particular this needs to ensure that effective cover is available for all areas of work including management of services (BAU), reactive support work, planned change work and also longer term strategic work and that resources for each are managed in line with business priorities.
