A respected public sector organisation is looking to appoint an established 3rd line/technical infrastructure analyst to join their established team. This role will require two days per week working from offices based in the East Midlands, with the rest of the week remote working.
You will be part of a team supporting, developing and maintaining infrastructure across networking and connectivity, cyber security, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 etc, working with both on-premise and cloud based products at third line level. You will support IT continuous improvement, implement IT policies and strategy, and be responsible for the IT disaster recovery and service restoration plans. It is essential for this role that you have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Essential Skills:
- Working in a similar IT role at Technical/3rd Line Support level
- Strong networking experience and solid understanding of the mechanisms of networking
- VMware and ideally a relevant certification
- Sophos cybersecurity or similar
- Working in both on-premise and cloud based infrastructure environments
- Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online
- Office 365
- Software licencing and compliance
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Associate, Microsoft Azure Administrator/ Developer/ Engineer, CCNA, CCENT, VMWare Certified Professional, VMCE etc would be advantageous
- Experience with Citrix XenApp, Cisco, Alcatel or Meraki would be desirable for this role alongside ITIL V3/V4 and project management experience, although this is not essential
