Facilities Manager / Handyman

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

Handyman / Facilities Manager £25-30k

The Role:

To be part of a team providing Facilities Management Services. 

The position will be multi-skilled and will involve other support service-related activities as the team and operation develops.

Main purpose of the Job:

• To manage and coordinate property and facility suppliers,
• The control and management of contractors and business partners, including scoping, planning and monitoring work, while ensuring procedures are in place to meet legal compliance e.g. Health & Safety
• To provide a Building Maintenance service and to respond to site FM requests ensuring that all works have been recorded on completion via Taskye and observations are also reported through Taskye
• Provide handyman skills to deliver variable building defects such as painting, plumbing, office moves general handyman tasks and testing etc
• To be responsible for the safety and wellbeing to yourself and others whilst carrying out the duties within the Handyman role 
• To ensure that all building defects are reported through the correct processes Taskye
• Undertake all required training in relation to all aspects of the building maintenance operative responsibility
• Comply with all client policies / procedures in relation to housekeeping & security
• Ensure that all requirements in relation to COSHH are adhered to
• provide a rapid response to business-critical requests Via Taskye
• To attend team meetings as required
• To create purchase requisition
• To ensure that all legislative and mandatory administration documents are completed
• To liaise with your line manager as and when scope changes to ensure variation within planned activities are met.
• To coordinate supply chain to variable and scheduled events
• Ordering and distribution of maintenance supplies accordingly
• To perform other such duties as may be reasonably requested by your management team

Requirements:

A good standard of education

Good communication skills

Good numeric / literacy skills

Computer literate

Multi Skilled within building services

Full driving licence

First aider

Character:

Self-motivating and enthusiastic team player

Flexible and hard working

Willing to be involved in all aspects of the service

Willingness to grow and develop with the business

Desirable:

Other site-based qualifications, including electrical & plumbing

Knowledge of BMS Systems

Full driving licence
